Care & Placement

Place Chaeto in a refugium or dedicated algae chamber with moderate water flow and appropriate lighting.

As the Chaeto grows, periodically harvest and remove a portion of the algae. This physically exports the nutrients that have been absorbed from the aquarium, helping maintain stable water quality.

Important Information

Our Chaeto is harvested from a healthy marine system that has contained Aiptasia. While we take care during harvesting and inspection, we cannot guarantee that all fragments are completely free of Aiptasia or other naturally occurring hitchhikers.

As with all macroalgae and live aquarium additions, we recommend inspecting and quarantining before introducing to your display aquarium.

Shipping

Chaeto is harvested fresh and packaged immediately prior to shipping.

Because this is a live product, appearance, density, and growth rate may vary slightly between harvests.
